Our Story
Mark Murray and Casey Klingensmith never envisioned themselves working in real estate. At 20 years old, Mark was a fresh college grad just about to start a job at Discount Tire when he sold his first house. It was an unexpected payoff on a chance gamble, and just enough to lure him into the real estate game. He was always financially savvy and entrepreneurially motivated, and shortly after selling his first home, he followed his vision to grow something bigger. After a few short years, Mark was leading a team of agents and starting to look for help.
His prayers were answered in the form of Casey Klingensmith, a fellow Texas Tech alumnus. Casey didn’t have real estate experience, but he did have an entrepreneurial spirit and a diverse array of skills built up over a lifetime watching his parents run the ski lodge they owned, managing ski shops, and eventually opening Sun & Ski Sports in Dallas and Frisco. Mark believed in Casey’s work ethic, sales and hospitality skills, so he offered him 10 listings and a role leading his team at Keller Williams Realty. For the first several months, Casey worked long days of real estate in the daytime and waiting tables at night, hustling to build the business.
Since then, Mark and Casey have worked together to grow their team of independent agents with expertise in all fields of real estate. And, though they may not have anticipated their paths leading to real estate, they’ve become passionate about the wide range of opportunities available in the industry for those who know where to look.
Reside has grown from a scrappy partnership into an organization built on the principle of putting others first in every aspect.
